Fish Terminal Hirtshals
Fish Terminal Hirtshals
Fish Terminal Hirtshals is Denmark's most modern building for handling, sorting and selling fish.
Fish Terminal Hirtshals is created based on an unbroken cold chain, controlled temperature and optimal logistics. At Fish Terminal Hirtshals, the fish is handled under controlled hygiene and temperature conditions - from being landed under a roof at Auktionskajen to the transport from the auction hall by lorries parked in the terminal's locks.
Today, important operators of the fishery have offices at Fish Terminal Hirtshals.
These companies are:
- Hirtshals Fiskeauktion
- Fiskelogistik Gruppen
- Fishery Control
- Hirtshals Fiskeriforening and Fiskernes Fiskesortering
Box washing facilities
The box washing facility is built as an extension of Fish Terminal Hirtshals with direct access to 'Auktionsbassinet' which makes it possible to ensure high-quality work processes around the servicing of fishing vessels.
The facility is a result of a cooperation between the North Jutland fishing unions in Hirtshals, Skagen and Stranby and their joint box washing company Pack&Sea.
The box washer has a capacity of 800 boxes per hour.
