Port of Hirtshals is expanding its management and placing extra focus on strategic development
The number of employees and departments has grown significantly, and Port of Hirtshals is working with an ambitious strategy for the future. These are the reasons why the port’s management is now welcoming to new members.
The management in Hirtshals has so far exclusively consisted of CEO Per Holm Nørgaard, but as of October 1, the management has will expand with two new members. These are Head of Finance Anja Vrangager and Head of Port Expansion Niels Kiersgaard, who will assume the titles of CFO (Chief Finance Officer) and COO (Chief Operations Officer).
- Port of Hirtshals has undergone significant development in recent years with the employment of more employees, and we have increased the number of departments, all of which have directly reported to me.
At the same time, we are actively pursuing plans for a major expansion of the port, and we have an ambitious goal to become a hub for the production and consumption of green energy. This requires a substantial strategic focus, which we now have the opportunity to prioritize,” says CEO Per Holm Nørgaard from Port of Hirtshals and continues:
- I am therefore pleased that Anja Vrangager and Niels Kiersgaard will join the management team. These are two incredibly talented employees whom I have great confidence in. The expansion of the management team means that we are exceptionally well-positioned in both the short and long term, allowing us to pursue the business opportunities that arise”
The organizational change also involves Head of Communications & Executive Coordinator Kikki Kongerslev, who serves as the primary sparring partner and support for Per Holm Nørgaard, becoming part of the daily management team. Additionally, Port of Hirtshals views communication as a crucial strategic tool, and it is therefore natural that the communication efforts are linked to the management.
