In connection with the upcoming expansion of Port of Hirtshals, we have ambitions to install wind turbines at the port – hence, we have now initiated a tender process.

This initiative is part of the ports's goal to become Europe's greenest port and create a central hub for green energy production and consumption. The port is seeking investors who not only want to set up the wind turbines but also actively participate in the green transition by utilizing the power for activities at the port. This groundbreaking step includes requirements for using the electricity for the production of future green fuels.

The upcoming wind turbines, expected to have a height between 150 and 200 meters, will play a crucial role in business development and provide significant amounts of green power to businesses and residents at the port. The concession terms emphasize the port's ambitions to strengthen green energy solutions and the circular economy.
